Masters Success – British Champion – Netty Webster in the V45 javelin

Whilst our young athletes were competing against the nations best our Masters athletes were over in Derby competing in the British Masters Championships, with Netty Webster becoming the British Master Champion (V45) for 2024.  Brian Bowley took bronze in the shot, 4th in the discus and Jill lamb came an amazing 6th in the discus and 7th in the weight throw, 10th in the javelin, 8th in the shot and 7th in the hammer.

The javelin thrower continued in their medal haul with Nicola Long taking bronze, Hayley Davis taking bronze and Stewart Cawson silver – all in their respective age-group categories. Laura Allen took 5th in the weight 6th in the Hammer and 6th in discus with Nicola Long also taking silver in the hammer bronze in the discus and 4th in the 800 metres and silver in the shot. Jack Poxon took silver in the long jump bronze in the triple jump, John Hendon took 6th in shot and 8th in Javelin.
