Amy On Tour

Burton AC had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Amy Towers from Auckland, New Zealand. Amy is an Auckland City Athletics Club athlete and her dad, Mark is an Eastern Athletics and Harriers Club committee member. Amy a New Zealand u18 athlete, who specialises in the 800m and 1500m, took part in a training session with Graham and our endurance squad.

It was lovely to meet both Mark and Amy and learn more about New Zealand athletics, how their age-groups work and how we have similar challenges in recruiting volunteers.

Amy also had a vest swap, trading one of the AC Athletics Club vests with one of our Burton ones.
