Jackie is a winner! England Athletics Regional Volunteer Awards for the East Midlands

It was absolutely inspiring to see so many incredible coaches, officials, helpers, and volunteers celebrated for the amazing work they do in athletics.

A massive shoutout to Jackie Acton, who was crowned Club Leader of the Year! Jackie is the powerhouse behind the scenes at Burton AC, and no matter what wild ideas or challenges come her way, she turns them into reality. She’s one of the key reasons our club is thriving today.

Another huge congratulations to Angela Fellows, who took runner-up in the Coach of the Year category. Ang is the heart and soul of the club’s development squad, and with Stevie and Simone by her side, they’ve built one of the strongest squads in the Midlands. Several athletes from the squad have gone on to achieve county and national recognition!

Amazing work, ladies! So well deserved—yet another reminder of what an outstanding club we have at Burton AC!
