Seniors at Telford
The Burton Athletic Senior team headed off way out west to Telford for their fourth league match, half the team that wasn’t on holiday did anyway. The results were closer than we all expected, Stoke just beating Burton by 12 points for their second match win of the season. That’s 502 points to Burton’s 490. That’s 2 wins and 2 second places for both Burton and Stoke, with one match remaining, the showdown at Burton on September 7th. Read the full match report…

Week 2 of Park Run Challenge
Week 2 of the parkrun challenge saw three more take part. Ewan Withnall lead from the start finishing 90 seconds clear in 17.43 for his second best time there and a 80.06% age grade performance. 7th was Lewis Boyce 21.04 and first women again was Millie Nettleton in 22.52. Sian Gower was 3rd women in 24.06 and a pb for a Antony Allen with 26.39.
Ewan now leads the male and age graded rankings and Mille continues to lead the women.
SENIOR LEAGUE CHAMPIONS
We did it!
The final match of the Senior Men’s and Women’s League took place in Burton on Saturday. With home advantage, we knew only a win would secure our place as league champions for the second consecutive year.
England Cross Country Championships
It was a sunny start to the Cross country season at Weston Park, for the rearranged England Championships. As this race was supposed to happen in February, before heavy rain caused its cancellation, it was using last season’s age groups. Full match Report…
